With your phone you can save money and get a loan or insurance for your purple passion fruits. Often, you do not have to travel to the bank – you can do it from your own home.

If you have a mobile savings account, you can apply for a loan on your mobile wallet (like Airtel money). The bank will decide how much to lend you based on your airtime, savings and payment history.

Mobile loans are small and have to be paid back quickly. Only use mobile loans for emergencies.

Use your phone to get insurance for your crops. Look out for crop insurance companies that will help insure your crops against floods, drought, pest attacks etc.
